This template stems from the idea of the book One Line A Day and is meant like a very short journal. A journal is a great way to track the ups and downs of life. The rule here is simple - you are supposed to write only one line every day. This exercise is especially helpful when you are new to journaling and have not created a habit of writing yet.

Besides your daily line you can also check in on your sleep, activity, energy, and mood.

If you have trouble filling your line, you can write about the weather or a song that keeps stuck in your head. You can even express your current mood.

With the 5 years overview, you can line up your entries. This allows you to revisit previous thoughts on a specific day of the year over the span of five years. Select and adjust the filter to the specific day you would like to have a look at.

You might see patterns of important events like birthdays, or anniversaries. Even more, you can recall happy memories or forgotten moments.
